Happy New Year!

2021 was a bit of a ride, eh? Still, amongst all the strange and sad bits there were some good bits - I signed with my publisher and Posterity was published!

Since I'm starting 2022 COVID positive, I'm trying to be positive about other things too. My New Year's Resolution is to be better at reaching out and make more of an effort to stay in touch with people. My job situation in the past has always meant that I've had my friends easily accessible, but since I've been staying home and writing it's been much harder! Spending a few weeks in my old theatre in December has helped remind me how awesome those people (and the others in my life!) are and that just because I don't work there anymore doesn't mean I need to lose them.

I'm also looking forward to other things this year, and I've started work on another book this morning. It's the sequel to one that's finished but not polished, but I love the world and the characters so much I just can't let go of it it. Hopefully someone will like it and I'll get to share it with the world in the not too distant future!

I'm trying to find a home for another story too; this one is finished and ready to go, so fingers crossed it won't be too long before that gets out. Once I'm feeling fully better I'll be able to focus properly and start to put proper effort into my writing again. Let's hope it's just regular COVID and not the long variety!

Wishing you all a happy and extremely healthy start to 2022!
